New Announcements:
· Lunch Supervisors Really Needed: we are looking to hire two noontime (lunch) supervisors. This position involves supervising students in the lunch room or during lunch recess. These are 5 hours/week positions. Go to www.edjoin.org to apply. If you are not available or interested in the paid position, we are in need of parent volunteers to help supervise our two lunch periods. This is a great opportunity to participate and contribute to our school environment. Click here to sign up as a lunch supervisor volunteer.
· 21st Century Learning: We are working with DESEF and PTA to fund the acquisition of new computers and equipment that would be significant step towards providing our students with 21st century skills. At this time, we have 19 computers in classrooms that do not meet the minimum requirements for our new district math curriculum. If you are interested in providing feedback on how we can fund this initiative to get updated technology into our classrooms, DESEF will schedule a “town meeting” soon to discuss how we can work together to get this done for our students. More information to come.

Recurring Announcements:
- Visitor Sign In: we ask that all parent visitors sign in at the office upon entering campus during the school day. For the safety of our students, all visitors not displaying a guest badge/sticker will be asked to proceed to the office to sign in.
- Drop Off and Pick Up: with the addition of our new Traffix buses, please observe the following procedures for morning drop off and after school pick ups:
- Parents may use the front parking lot to drop off and pick up only when the yellow buses are not present.
- When the yellow school buses are lined up in the front parking lot, parent cars will not be allowed to enter the lot. Please observe the orange cones displayed at the parking lot entrance signifying the lot is closed to cars. Passing a school bus while it is unloading/loading can result in a citation. In the morning, the buses typically arrive from 8:25 am to 8:35 am. After school, the buses will be in the lot for approximately 10 minutes after dismissal time.
- During the time the parking lot is closed to cars, parents may drop off and pick up on Pine Valley Rd, or other appropriate side streets. Students and parents must use monitored crosswalks.
- No drop-off's or pick-up's in the staff parking lot. This lot is not supervised.
Thank you for your help in keeping our parking lot a safe place for all.
